About C.J. Brafford:
C.J. Brafford has been the Director of the Ute Indian Museum since 1996. The museum features one the most complete collections and exhibits featuring the Ute people of Colorado. She served as a museum curator for the Grand Teton National Park for eight years, overseeing the David T. Vernon Indian Arts Museum. CJ provides on-going lectures on Indian culture. CJ works both with adults and children providing hands-on cultural programs. Dancing Colors, a book on Native American Women Pathways was published in 1980. She received degrees at the Institution of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona and Arizona State University located in Tempe, Arizona.
