Fascinated with science fiction from an early age, Nick Sagan is a writer of screenplays, teleplays, novels, comics, games and the most technologically-advanced planetarium show in the world today. 

Recruited by astronaut Sally Rider to work for SPACE.com as Executive Producer of Entertainment & Games, it was in this capacity that he formulated a series of science fiction novels, The Idlewild trilogy for Penguin Putnam. He has also penned several episodes of Star Trek and the Shrapnel series for Radical Publishing. 

The son of famed astronomer Carl Sagan and Pioneer plaque artist Linda Salzman, Nick also serves as interstellar ambassador for the children of planet Earth—the Voyager Golden Records that carry his greeting for any potential extraterrestrials to discover. These recordings are now the distant, human-made objects in the universe.
